Golden Sands / Pantai Puteri Dewi

A legendary lovelorn princess is said to have drowned at this beach, which has been named in her memory. To locals, the beach is popularly known as Golden Sands. A private beach under an international chain of hotels, Pantai Puteri Dewi offers no land access except for its guests.

The beach is located on the northwest of the island. Evenings are particularly wonderful as the last rays of the setting sun glint over the coast turning sand and sea into a fiery liquid gold.
