The rectangular indoor arena at a size of 69m x 39.4m, is the stadium's best feature. Its adjustable nature enables the stadium to be used for various indoor sports activities ranging from boxing, badminton, basketball, volleyball, tennis, fencing, handball, judo, wrestling, gymnastic to even a five-a-side soccer match.

Like earlier mentioned, concerts and seminars can be held during the day with a night atmosphere because the structure of the venue is such that no light is allowed to enter. The Putra Indoor Stadium is also a great place for holding grand weddings and major corporate events such as product launches and exhibitions.

Spectators and games community share different functional areas found on the two basement floor levels.

Lighting, public address, sound system, broadcasting commentaries and interpretation services are facilitated through house control centers.

Results and event information is brought to you in no time by a full colour video matrix scoreboard, which is further enhanced by the 103dB sound system. A 1500 lux pre-programmed floodlighting system is the stadium's main source of illumination.
